This distorted digital collage is inspired by church domes with paintings depicting the Resurrection. Art-historical nudes tangle together as they are resurrected into a place reminiscent of heaven. The bodies and cadavers in Naukkarinen’s other works, which depict the often macabre history of gender norms in anatomical imagery, deserve a resolution — or a resurrection.
